Hello I'm JoJo Elliott
I'm a graphic designer, illustrator, and writer currently based in Salem, Oregon.
Fresh out of the visual communications program at Chemeketa Community college and ready to put my design skills to good use.
My work ranges from package and website design to book covers and character illustrations.
About Me
I have always loved to draw and create stories since before I can remember. After getting my hands on a tablet at age eleven, I began to create character illustrations digitally and post them online. In Spring of 2020 I began posting my first webcomic "The House on the Mountain Top." This broadened my horizons and introduced me to the publishing world. My dream has been to create my own graphic novels since then.
During Highschool, I was a doodler. I didn't know what I wanted after graduation; just that I liked to draw. My dad introduced me to the graphic design world during my senior year. I kept up my illustration skills and eventually developed my own style; Stylized semi-realism. I didn't know much ab out graphic design but I liked the idea of drawing for a living so I applied to a community college near my home in Spokane Washington. Then I was off to learn the vast world of design.
After going to Spokane Falls Community College for two terms I moved to Salem, Oregon with my family. I decided to join Chemeketa's visual communication program to finish my degree. There, I finally grew my love for design. I did many broad exercises and projects in the program, and learned I loved book cover design and logos, alongside illustration still. I love mixing typography with my illustrations and using type in fun ways to create unique layouts.
